Want to try out my podcast? Here are episode recommendations.

Recently I've been in conversation with several people who have asked me for recommendations of which #podcast episode of mine they should try out. If you want to see more posts like this, let me know.

How is this not a movie?!

Ryan Maybee’s journey from bartender to bar owner is a fun one. But the story of how his distillery, J. Rieger & Co. came to be, is nothing short of a movie that has yet to be made. Listen on Apple, Google, Spotify, and my website.

The academic listen

Edward Slingerland’s book Drunk: How We Sipped, Danced, and Stumbled Our Way to Civilization examines the social, creative, and enjoyment for enjoyment’s sake upsides of alcohol despite its costs to our bodies, productivity, and more. The book is hilarious and insightful, and it was a delight to discuss his work. Listen on Apple, Google, Spotify, and my website.

Building a world-renowned brand

Did you know that Hendrick’s Gin is only 24 years old? It was brought to life in 1999 by William Grant & Sons under the helm of Steve Grasse and his firm Quaker City Mercantile (then Gyro Worldwide). Grasse and his team have always had a deep commitment to punk rock, esoteric details, and more. This study led them to create one of the most standout brands of the past 50 years. Listen on Apple, Google, Spotify, and my website.
